A Natural & Wood-Themed Destination Wedding at Pyrgos Petreza

Pyrgos Petreza is a fabulous vineyard in Greece designed to preserve traditional local architecture. Here, you can also marvel at the natural beauty of the Greek landscape.

Spread across 800m², Pyrgos Petreza has that intimate feel, making it the ideal destination for all kinds of formal events. However, nothing compares to having a destination wedding in Athens, Greece, here! Besides being an idyllic event location, Pyrgos Petreza is also a winery. That said, when hosting a pre-wedding event/dinner, the guests can visit the vineyards and taste the delicious Greek wine.

Other than wine — the drink of love — there are plenty of other opportunities for romance. The little chapel on the property makes this the ultimate spot for an Orthodox destination wedding in Athens. People that want a traditional Orthodox ceremony can get married in the chapel and have their unique celebration of love in the same location. Montana and Alex saw the appeal of this opportunity, so they decided to have their May wedding at Pyrgos Petreza.

Alex and Montana’s Destination Wedding in Athens, Greece

The wedding day, May 27th, was lovely under the Greek sun. The bride and groom both got ready for the wedding on the property. Pyrgos Petreza has rooms available to anyone that wants to have a destination wedding in Athens, Greece, and needs a place to stay. While the couple was getting ready, the wedding stage decoration was unfolding in the garden. The natural wedding scenery at Pyrgos Petreza was complemented by the green theme of the wedding. Moreover, the greenery was enriched with natural, earthly tones supplied by wooden tables and chairs.

We selected the wedding decoration to match the surroundings — the building and the nature at Pyrgos Petreza. The hanging baskets and floral arrangements were picked out to match the green wedding theme, which in turn helped us with the overall natural appeal. We thought this was the perfect setting for getting married in Athens, Greece, as all the details created a harmonious flow of elegance. Once the layout and decorations were all set in place, the bride and groom were ready to start this journey of a lifetime.

As soon as the ceremony started, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that Pyrgos Petreza was THE place for a destination wedding in Athens, Greece. The gardens can seat as many as 1,000 guests — that’s incredible! However, the one thing that stands out and makes it special is the lovely little chapel. Alex and Montana got married outdoors — in front of the chapel. Its doors were adorned with lush green decorations and white flowers to match the wedding vibe. The flower girls lined the aisle with flowers as the bride walked to the chapel accompanied by her father.

The couple got married in a Greek Orthodox ceremony in the presence of their loved ones. The guests were seated in white chairs, getting a full view of the couple getting married. After the traditional ceremony, Alex and Montana took their first steps down the aisle as a married couple. Afterward, the newlyweds took photos with their families in front of the chapel. After capturing cherished memories with their loved ones, the couple also had their own romantic photo shoot to create some special mementos of this special day.

The wedding at Pyrgos Petreza was the ultimate choice in terms of scenery. There’s an abundance of beautiful locations, and Alex and Montana made full use of them for the photo shoot. After the extraordinary ceremony and shoots, everyone went on to the dinner party. This was also held on-location at Pyrgos Petreza, once again proving that this is the ultimate spot for getting married in Athens, Greece. The party was in the garden, with guests seated around the outdoor wedding dance floor.

The dance floor at Pyrgos Petreza is more than reason enough to have a destination wedding in Athens, Greece. The property offers more than enough space to set up an outdoor dance floor, and you can customize it to your liking! Alex and Montana also took advantage of this – the dance floor was in the same style as the rest of the wedding stage decoration! Wooden baskets and greenery hung above the floor as the guests made the most of the party.

The atmosphere at Alex and Montana’s wedding was best captured in the drone wedding photograph. Here, you can see the full beauty of Pyrgos Petreza. Plus, you’ll spot all the decorations that made the wedding so unique. Getting a wedding drone is a great idea for an outdoor wedding. It will be able to capture what no one else will and give you precious memories you will cherish for a lifetime.

Once it got dark, hundreds of little lights illuminated the gardens at Pyrgos Petreza. This created a truly magical atmosphere — intimate and incredibly beautiful. The couple spent a lot of time on the dance floor, both with each other and their dearest. Like most Greek weddings, the dancing went well into the night, and the day ended just as it started — perfect and unique.
