Kim asked for a romantic and lovable wedding in Athens, Greece and we believe that this wedding’s portfolio proves exactly this!
The location: Island Athens Riviera
Island art and Taste is a well-known wedding venue in the Athenian Riviera and no wonder why so many couples choose this place, as it offers 3 different venues. Kim and Vinnie chose the “Private House” for their big day and it was the perfect setup for this micro wedding in Athens, Greece.
A symbolic ceremony was held with a split arch as per our bride’s vision and all the guests got to enjoy the ocean view, while witnessing one of the most heart-warming ceremonies.
The dinner decoration in emerald green tones
Two long white tables with tall centrepieces and long eucalyptus garlands along with matching emerald charger plates and golden cutlery, gave in the wedding’s concept. Our bride chose emerald couches and poufs with white tables and a golden mirror bar. Guests’ names were also laser cut and placed on their seats and the gold candle holders along with the Mr and Mrs sign at the back of the bridal table formed the perfect scenery for the heartfelt speeches that followed.
- We definitely adored the ceremony’s split arch
- The masterpiece geode cake
- Our bride’s wedding dress was definitely one of this wedding’s highlights
- The groom squad singing “Angels” during cocktail hour.
The perks of a micro wedding in Athens
Organizing for a micro wedding in Greece has definitely its perks. First and foremost it creates more room in your budget. This way you can go more lush in your tablescape and floral decisions. You can upgrade your menu and even go for those dream shoes!
One more reason is that with a micro wedding you have a more manageable timeline. This way you get to enjoy more of your immediate family and friends and time will definitely feel more stretched as you will connect with everyone.
Finally, it definitely feels more authentic as you and your spouse will be on the spotlight of your loved ones, where you won’t feel overwhelmed or intimidated by big crowds, as there will be no big expectations.
Words from our couple:
Vinnie and I met when I used to walk my dog (Missy) past his house as we lived 4 doors down from each other. He used to try speak to me off of his apartment balcony but I was not interested and thought he was quite weird, haha. He then added me on all methods of social media and messaged me on there, asking if I had changed my dog walking route as he hadn’t seen me in a while. It’s true- I had changed my route!! And at this point I was thinking this guy might be a stalker. I then walked out my house one day to a yellow post it note stuck to my car that only had a number on it so I gave it a text to see who it was. Οf course it turned out to be Vinnie!!
10 out of 10 for trying Vinnie!
After that we bumped into each other one day at a bar where we live and began talking in a more relaxed setting and I soon came to realise that he was not in fact a stalker or a weirdo and but the most amazing man I had ever met. And the rest is history.
Stalking and perseverance works!!
Why did they choose Greece?
I found a venue I loved (the island art and taste – private house) on Instagram and even when I started to look at other venues around the world I always came back to this venue in Greece. I also then stumbled on the Instagram of RockPaperScissors which made me fall in love with the venue even more.
