A destination olive and lavender wedding in Paros

When we first met Jessica and Pierre-Loic they were living in Paris, France and during their engagement they decided to move further south to Lyon, France.

Although their initial vision was a spring wedding, due to Covid-19 they had to change the date for the beginning of October. The weather was great, still very warm and sunny, so they had an amazing time exactly as they had dreamt it and ever better as they told us.

Why did they choose Greece?

It was obvious that they absolutely love Greece and its islands and especially Paros, for the history, the landscapes and of course the food.

The location: Aelia Hospitality in the Golden beach Paros

Without exaggeration, all the four villas of Aelia Hospitality are the epitome of design, luxury and comfort. The traditional materials such as the well-known marble of Paros, are combined beautifully with the modern touch creating the ideal canvas for an elegant and Greek inspired wedding. Just five minutes away, lies the Golden Beach, which is popular for the fine, velvety, soft sand. No doubt, the perfect place for a glam bohemian pre wedding party

Bracelets and tattoos set everyone into the mood, while a karaoke station elevated the party mood to another level.

The dinner decoration with white tables and olive branches

The couple love the authenticity so we used local florals like the olive branches and added some dried lavender. So simple yet so elegant and unique.

RPS Highlights:

  • Our couple made preparations together and also walked down the aisle together
  • The Ceremony area, into the property of Aelia villa, which is a landing area for helicopters
  • The super stylish cocktail bar & The welcome drink station with the fresh lavender lemonade
The romantic string lights above dinner area

Tips for a wedding in Paros

So you chose Paros as the destination of your wedding. Brilliant!  These are some tips you might find useful for the organization of your wedding:

a: Choose the local wine for your wedding dinner

The third-generation winemaker-since 1910-produce high quality wine and have created a beautiful winery. Why buy much more expensive wine from elsewhere while there is this amazing variety in the Paros island?

This is also a great idea for a pre wedding activity since there is a small museum with old winemaking tools, old photos etc. Your guests will surely enjoy it very much.

b: find a great variety of authentic local products for your welcome gifts.

What more heart-warming and thoughtful touch than a basket filled with local pure delicacies, such as the Mizithra, a soft white goat cheese, extra virgin olive oil, the traditional Petimezia sweets and the local pumpkin pie.

c: Experience a boat trip with your guests and discover unique places
