After you soak up all the modern loveliness from this amazing styled shoot with indigo blue and copper accents captured by George Pahountis, you will truly believe that Mykonos is the perfect place to say “I do”.

The uber talented team from Rock Paper Scissors created an inspirational setting that captured the unique elements of the Mykonos island: a flawless reality of what a chic destination wedding on this Greek island can look like. The styled shoot took place at the Rocabella Hotel in Mykonos, a stunning venue set on a breathtaking location with the absolute perfect view of the bay of Mykonos.

The feminine yet stunningly sexy wedding gown featured a dramatic full tulle skirt and the dashing navy blue groom suit was paired with a trendy wooden bow tie making a stylish statement. The colorful tabletop was embellished with copper details and vibrant handpicked blooms: peonies, garden roses, delphinium and dahlias are just some of the beautiful flowers that were used for the beautiful floral arrangements.

The carefully curated wedding inspiration had so many unique decorative details such as the handwritten Pablo Neruda poem backdrop at the ceremony, the customized tambourines wedding favors, the DIY bar stand with the magnificent blue-hued signature cocktails, the indigo watercolor wedding stationery with copper foil… seriously too many heartbreaking beautiful details to behold…

The breathtaking natural beauty of the famous Greek island of Mykonos created the perfect backdrop for today’s stunning indigo + copper wedding editorial by RockPaperScissors Events + photographer, George Pahountis. Complete with lush florals, a gorgeous Kathy Heyndels wedding dress, and a stylish modern metallic vibe, we are majorly in love with this stylish scene – and are trying to scheme up a trip to Greece!

Wedding blogger, Eleni, from Love4Wed, who coordinated the project, says, Our shoot shows a flawless reality of what a chic destination wedding in Mykonos can look like. It took place at the Rocabella Mykonos Hotel; a stunning venue set on a breathtaking location with the absolute perfect view of the bay. Our carefully curated wedding inspiration had so many unique decorative details such as the handwritten Pablo Neruda poem backdrop at the ceremony, the customized tambourines wedding favors, the DIY bar stand with the magnificent blue-hued signature cocktails, the indigo watercolor wedding stationery with copper foil… seriously too many heartbreaking beautiful details to behold…

There is something inherently ethereal about the islands of Greece. The great mythology of Ancient Greek gods and goddesses has been around since the 700s BC but still today the islands whisper of celestial beings and awe-inspiring landscapes that are out of this world. Perhaps Greece is our own little taste of heaven right here on earth.

It’s no wonder why we love the idea of getting married on the famous island of Mykonos, with its rugged natural beauty and cyan-colored ocean. Some say the pull to this part of the world is almost spiritual, that its beauty is romance for the soul.

Love 4 Weddings have coordinated this stunning wedding inspiration shoot that captures the fantasy of Greece perfectly. The color scheme of indigo blue and copper accents is the perfect reflection of the sea with a touch of something heavenly.

Styled by Rock Paper Scissors, the shoot is full of chic decorative elements. An abundance of luscious florals, fresh linens and copper tableware create an ultra-stylish island escape.

The timber picnic tables are covered in color: copper charger plates, mosaic-like side plates, slices of crystal and bright blue goblets. Even the cake is decorated with colorful crystals. While much of the styling is modern, there are also sentimental elements, including traditional coffee and the iconic white walls of Greece.

The bridal bouquet, floral centerpiece and altar arrangement are lavish and vibrant. The blooms are handpicked and consist of astilbe, peonies, garden roses, delphinium, dahlias and more.

Shoot coordinator, Eleni from Love 4 Weddings described some of her favorite details: “The carefully curated wedding inspiration had so many unique decorative details such as the handwritten Pablo Neruda poem backdrop at the ceremony, the customised tambourines wedding favors, the DIY bar stand with the magnificent blue-hued signature cocktails, the indigo watercolor wedding stationary with copper foil… seriously too many heartbreaking beautiful details to behold…”

The Grecian goddess vibes continue through the bridal gown. The equally feminine and sexy dress features a dramatic full tulle skirt and leafy vine embroidery with beading details. The groom’s navy suit is well-tailored, paired with a crisp, classic white shirt and a very cool wooden bow tie. The fashion is modern, sophisticated and well suited to the overall style of the shoot.

Set at the Rocabella Hotel in Mykonos, overlooking the bay, these images prove that you don’t have to forfeit quality or design when you leave your country. The chic destination wedding that you’re dreaming of is indeed a swoon-worthy reality.
