A lovely couple from Switzerland that had a really clear concept of their special day. It was so much fun and creativity working on their wedding!
Thank you for this opportunity guys!
Words from our groom
Both bride and groom live and work abroad, so with their celebration of unity, they got to gather their friends from all over the world and of course their big Greek family. Peloponnese is the ideal choice for couples who want to live a genuine Greek traditional wedding with all the family rituals and all foreign guests get to introduced to our customs and traditions. It was an unforgettable experience! We did everything in our power to maintain the character of a traditional fiesta.
“The day before our wedding, fate decided to test us! While we were watching our last sunset as a non married couple I lost balance coming off a cliff! My husband to be didn’t hesitate for a second to risk his own life to ensure I don’t get hurt! He bravely pushed me to the other side so I don’t role off and either die or end up with a serious injury!!!!
We ended up in the ER at the only care center on the island, where they drugged both of us, took care of our bruises and advised him to leave the island and seek proper medical care as soon as possible. You can imagine how devastated we both were! Especially me! A bride who can’t have a proper first dance with her groom. He was on crutches! Despite all of that, the wedding was out of this world and we danced till dawn while he participated from far. Our family & friends made it a night to remember. It was full of love, joy, dancing, and pure happiness.
In a split second, this became our wedding story! I can’t deny it, It took me awhile to accept it! However this story became the anchor of our newly married life. A reminder to live the moment and most importantly be grateful.
Thank you @rockpaperscissorsevents for the last minute venue changes to accommodate the incident…”
Always thankful for our dear vendors:
An Alluring Athens Wedding: Some women have fantasized about their dream wedding since they were little girls, but certain details of Elina’s nuptials were settled the moment she was born. “Elina comes from Athens, Greece and, according to Greek tradition, a wedding must take place at the bride’s place of birth,” says the groom. “Besides, there were many more guests from Elina’s side and it would have been inconvenient to ask 200 Greeks to come to Switzerland.” The couple was more than happy to host a destination wedding in the Athens Riviera and, thankfully, their loved ones agreed. “They were very positive and most of them used it as an excuse to book a vacation in Greece.”
“We had been a little bit unlucky with the first wedding planner as not only did she lack in organizational skills, but also she did not contribute any creative ideas. We [then] fully relied on Rock Paper Scissors and there were no issues [after] they took over from our first wedding planner.” Elina and Patrick knew they couldn’t control everything from afar, so they relied heavily on their local resources in Greece. “We had to be really trustful of the local vendors and professionals and we could not control every aspect ourselves. [Once] we started working with Rock Paper Scissors, we were much more relaxed because we had our people, who knew exactly what was important to us, on the spot.” Continue reading…
