A lavender elegant micro wedding in the Athenian Riviera

Sofia and Dimitris are a lovely couple who works and lives in Suisse. They are both doctors so they were tied to a very requiring and restricted schedule.

Not to mention the Covid-19 pandemic which made even more challenging their daily life at the hospital. So our strategy was to be very specific and flexible about all our decisions, meaning that we chose textures, colors and patterns which was all time classic and elegant with a modern touch.

The location: Island Art and Taste Athens Riviera

Island art and Taste is one of the most popular venues of the Athenian Riviera, since it combines the most breath-taking sea view with the best quality of food and service. The Private House, which is one of the three venues that Island Art and Taste consists of, is the ideal option for the couples who look for a more intimate and cosy feel. There is a beautiful garden where dinner tables were put, a pergola for the welcome drinks and the table with the treats to honour the Greek tradition, and of course the sea overlooking dance floor where the couple chose to cut the wedding cake as well.

The dinner decoration in lavender tones

Earthy colours composed a soft and romantic feel to all dinner area. We didn’t want anything to disturb the sensation of serenity and harmony so the lavender nuances gave the extra delicate touch. The grey candlesticks added the romantic and ethereal tone to complete a picture who stole everyone’s heart by its simplicity and elegance.

The ceremony was Greek orthodox so it was conducted to Greek Church nearby the Island Art and Taste. We had the same flower concept for the entrance and the most emblematic expression of the unity of two people, which are the big candles decorated with flower wreaths.

RPS Highlights:

  • We fell in love with the bride’ s custom made wedding dress
  • The extraordinary flowers composition of the table with the treats
  • The heartfelt first dance of the couple

Words from our couple:

Dimitris and I met a few years ago at work! At first we hang out as friends and it took us 3 months till we admitted it was more than that!! Since then we’ve been inseparable!! He proposed during our Christmas vacation in Budapest!

Both of us living in Switzerland, we needed help in organizing our dream wedding!! Rps put together an amazing team and help us organize every detail from distance!

Our wedding “had “ to take place by the sea, in a scenery that feels like an island! And so it happened…

The COVID pandemic surely stressed us a lot, made us think about postponing and finally forced us to downsize our guest list!

But at the end of the day, we wouldn’t Change a thing! It was a magical day, an elegant, romantic wedding and a party with true friends and family!!

Why did they choose Greece?

Greece is always a very special place to them since their families and many of their friends live here. It was really very important to them to stay connected with their origins and to honor the Greek wedding tradition.
